Ely, Roswell Pits - m Redstart 16:00-17:00h at least. From Ely centre, take the B1382 Prickwillow Road and park at the top of Kiln Lane before the NRA gates. Walk down the hill towards the level crossing, and turn right alongside the railway line before the crossing. You walk across the field - which is open access - between the railway line and the woods bordering the southern edge of the western most of the Roswell pits. In the field are two obvious clumps of trees/bushes, the second hidden initially behind the first. Look around the second clump of bushes (ie furthest from the gate) for the bird (Ian Delgado); Blue-headed Wagtail with 9+ Yellow Wagtails in paddocks east of Roswell Pits (Paul Atkinson)

Ouse Washes - CETTI`S WARBLER c. half a mile south of Chain Corner. Park at Chain Corner and walk south west to the second scrubby area, grid reference TL 410 772. The bird was heard to sing briefly from a `fairly inaccessible` location 3 times over five minutes and was not seen (Mark Peck)

Ely - 2 SHAGS roosting under the southern railway bridge over the Ouse, possibly a third bird in the southern half of the Marina on the right bank early a.m. (Fred Heath); 2 1st winter SHAGS on the river between the railway bridges later in the day.
