On no account should anyone enter the pit complex as this is private.

To get to the site walk north from Somersham Lake along the old railway line. The large flooded field is obvious after about 10 minutes. Alternatively, the same point can be reached by walking south along the old railway line from the riding stables at Somersham Fen. Again, it takes 5-10 minutes to reach.
