With what looks like an aviculturist's ring, one wonders whether this bird has been in captivity, unable to wear its bill down. But a second look by Paul and we are assured that it is not a ring.
3CY (2nd winter) Caspian Gull - Richard Patient, Fen Drayton, 10th January 2004.
Always a little tricky to identify at this age, these 4 cameo shots show nicely the look and feel (jizz) of a Caspian Gull.
